Grand Cinema: The Holly and the Ivy

Transport yourself to the golden age of cinema with a nostalgic afternoon in our beautifully restored 1950s Grand Cinema. The Grand cinema, from Ryhope, in Sunderland, has been recreated and brought to life, in our 1950s Town.
An English clergyman’s neglect of his grown children, in his zeal to tend to his parishioners, comes to the surface at a Christmas family gathering.
- Tickets for Grand Cinema Events must be pre-booked online (subject to availability) and will not be available to buy at the museum. Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid for this event.
- Free parking is available in the main car park.
- You will be able to enter the museum up to an hour before the showing time. Please show your Grand Cinema Ticket at the Entrance.
- Evidence of eligibility for carers status must be shown at the point of admission, examples of evidence include Blue Badge, Access Card, PIP letter, Government issued Disability card or equivalent.
- Service transport will be running as usual.
- You'll be able to enter the Grand Cinema 20 minutes prior to showing.
- No animals are allowed within The Grand Cinema, except for assistance dogs.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Grand Cinema tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative date or event.
